What the....?

Well the Singapore Traffic Police took some of the vigilante's advice and sent out a patorl car (a WRX no less) to one of the spots they were told was pretty dodgy. The crazy thing is that the WRX sits on the top of the hill with his lights flasshing so everyone can see him - that's not the problem - the problem is that the drivers get out of the emergency lane when they see him and once past him and over the hill they jump straight back in the emergency lane.

I know the police dont want to be seen as handing out fines for the fun of it like they do in many other countries. But just being seen doesnt stop people doing the 'crime'. They need to start handing out tickets and hitting Singaporeans where they hurt the most - the wallet. A small fine will stop these bozos for months and then the cops will have to come out and book a few more again. It doesnt stop just because the police say it should. Singaporeans are not draft horses being lead around by the nose anymore.
