Anyone been to Malaysia lately? Anyone been out driving (or even in a taxi) after about 8pm at night in KL or any of the big towns? That's where and when you'll find these clowns that are constantly looking for a way to die fast.
I have ridden a motorcycle for 20years and I still ride too fast in and out of the traffic but these clowns are beyond stupid. They are inexperienced, inconsiderate, incapable, lazy motorbike riders with a death wish. Some of them may actually be decent racers if they got on a track, but they take their races to the streets while everyone else is still using them and that's where the biggest part of this problem is. They dont care about anyone else, and hate anyone stopping them having the fun.
The problem is they are now getting to be so common they are regularly putting other people's lives at risk. Because of this they know they are unliked where ever they go and as such they are becoming thugs and gang members to protect their dumb behaviour.
I had a recent run in with two of these clowns while driving a car in Shah Alam and the simple act of me honking my horn as they nearly rode under my bumber bar at 80km/h thru a round-about was enough for them to decide they should work out how to 'attack' me. They waited for me at the next lights where I had nowhere to go because of traffic and a large traffic island and they kicked the side of my car three or four times. I got out of the car to chase them but of course they rode off in their infinite bravery.
The biggest problem for me was that I know at that very point in time I would have happily run these two idiots over in my car and made sure I killed or maimed them - with a preference to maiming. I dont really care about the dent in my car - it came out easily enough - but what if I had been in a position to chase them and knock them off their bikes? I would have done it and at some point would have regretted it.
What if my wife or kids had been in the car?
The issue for me is that they brought me to this state and I hated myself for feeling like this. These monkeys may not have a deathwish, but they are truly too stupid to know how close to death they come on a daily basis. Or maybe they do and that is what excites them - if it is then they are truly dumber than I thought.
When one of their mates dies in an accident - and it happens all the time - they put it down to a crazy motorist getting in their way. That's why they hate the other road users so much. And why they happily beat the crap out of small town cops when they are confronted.
The solution has to be in the adequate policing and convicting of these hooligans. If you start a riot in Malaysia you will likely be hanged for sedition - this is another form of public nuisance that should be considered almost as harshly. These idiots need to be shut down.
Right now it is DON'T Visit Malaysia Year 2007 for me and that's a problem because my wife is Malaysian!
